Boat Trim Issues

Proper boat trim will eliminate most performance issues. 

  1. ENSURE PROP SIZE IS ADEQUATE COMPARED TO ENGINE AND BOAT SIZE
  2. CHECK PROP FOR DAMAGE
  3. ENSURE PROP IS PARRALLEL WITH THE TRANSOM OF THE VESSEL
  4. PROP SHOULD BE HALF IN THE WATER AND HALF ABOVE THE WATER
  5. CHECK VESSEL SPECIFICATIONS TO ENSURE THE UNIT IS THE CORRECT SIZE FOR YOUR APPLICATION
  6. BE SURE WEIGHT IS DISTRIBUTED EVENLY THROUGHOUT THE VESSEL
  7. IF PROP FEELS LIKE IT IS SPINNING OUT OF WATER, A CAVITATION PLATE WILL HELP FLOOD THE PROP
  8. IF PROP IS JUMPING OUT OF THE WATER, ADJUST SKEG BY BENDING SLIGHTLY TOWARDS THE PORT SIDE OF THE VESSEL
