What Size Kit Do I Need

What Size Kit Do I Need

This is a very common question we receive.

Firstly, you should never exceed the maximum horsepower rating that is on your boat's safety label. If your boat is rated for 7HP, then you can use any of our kits rated up to 7HP.

You also need to consider the weight of the kit, with the engine. In order to get the best performance, your boat will need to be trimmed correctly, which means, among other things, balancing the weight throughout the boat. So, if your Mud-Skipper kit weights 180lbs, you will need 180lbs in the front of the boat to balance it.
